Pingg-String Dog Fence

What happens if a person touches the Pingg-String wire?

If you touch a single wire you will feel nothing! Or, at the very most you'll feel a slight pulsed tingle sensation. If you touch the two wires simultaneously then you will feel what the animal experiences. The electrical impulse easily complies with international safety standards because it is only about ten times more than common static electricity (the zap you might get from a synthetic carpet in dry weather).

Can I protect an open driveway using the Pingg-String?

The Radio Collar System is more suitable for an open driveway. The Pingg-String uses an above ground wire and so cannot conveniently be wired across a driveway without causing an obstruction.

I think both Radio Collar and the Pingg-String would work for us. Which do you recommend?

If you can install either system we generally recommend the Pingg-String for smaller property sizes. The advantages are: 1/ Instant results. 2/ No collars, meaning more comfort for your dog and no maintenance of the collar's fit. 3/ The Pingg-String is generally less expensive, particularly when containing several dogs, or when the containment area is your typical suburban sized property. 4/ Dog's who are strongly motivated (eg. separation anxiety, chasing animals, long-term escape behaviour) are controlled much better with the Pingg-String.
