Our Fees

We have a once off joining fee of $95.00 which includes our starter pack (see below). There are no annual "membership" or "registration" fees. Basically, once you have paid your joining fee and received your starter pack, the only other cost to you are your lesson fees.

Victorian Dog Training Academy starter pack includes:

a bound copy of the VDTA Dog Owners Guide
100gm pack of "The Dog Shop" Training Treats
bags on board (poo bags and dispenser)
A comfortable heavy duty brushed cotton 180cm lead with solid brass snap
Training treat waist bag
Nylon slip lead with stainless steel "O" ring

The purpose of the starter pack is to ensure you get off on the right foot by having the correct types of training equipment and treats etc. available to you at your very first session.

Lesson Costs

One-on-one Sessions
- $25.00 per half hour during business hours
- $35.00 per half hour after hours

The prices above are for private lessons at our indoor training centre in Fairfield. If you wish to have in home training, this can be arranged but please call us on 03 9499 8848 to obtain pricing information.

Group Sessions

All Victorian Dog Training Academy group classes are by invitation only. Your dog must have passed it's basic training in a one-on-one basis prior to being invited to group class. Our group sessions have an absolute maximum of ten dogs per group. All group sessions are $20.00 and are 1 hour in duration.

Please note: The above lessons and prices are for obedience and general training. If your dog has behavioural issues that need to be resolved, you will require a consultation with a Victorian Dog Training Academy applied behaviour counsellor, prior to the commencement of any one-on-one or group sessions.

Behaviour Counselling
The cost for an in home consultation with a Victorian Dog Training Academy applied canine behaviour counsellor is only $250.00 during business hours or $290.00 after hours (for some areas a traveling surcharge may be applicable, call us for details).

An in home behaviour consultation is approximately 2 hours duration and further behavioural training may be recommended. If further behavioural training is required the costs are:

A behavioural modification half hour training session at our indoor centre:
- During business hours: $35.00
- after hours: $45.00
A behavioural modification half hour training session in your home:
- during business hours: $65.00
- After hours: $75.00

An Additional travel surcharge may be applicable (please call us for details)
