Akva-Stabil aquariums are recognised as of being exceptional quality, functionality and design. Each Effect-Line aquarium is framed in round edged aluminium with a new corner joint system that ensures perfect corner assembly. The aquariums are finished in natural or black anodised finish.

The Effect-Line aquarium lighting hoods are made exclusively of extruded aluminium profiles, stainless steel and high quality plastics. All hoods are equipped with large tilting lids at both the front and back, which provides easy unobtrusive access to the aquarium on an everyday basis. The hoods are designed to fit perfectly into the top frame of Effect-Line aquariums.

Condensation is led directly into the aquarium via the angled edges on the lower side fitting. Each lighting hood is equipped with the new T5 HO (High Output) fluorescent tubes and specially developed parabolic reflectors. The T5 HO fluorescent tubes provide 50% more light than normal aquarium tubes of the same length.

The special parabolic reflectors ensure that as great a quality of light as possible is transmitted into the aquarium.As most of the light is transmitted by the reflector at a maximum angle of 20 degrees, this prevents light being reflected by the surface of the water.

The T5 lighting is waterproof, so there is no need for light consuming cover glass. The combination of all these factors provides extra light that is ideal for aquariums where a great deal of light is needed, such as heavily planted aquariums, aquariums containing cichlids and marine aquariums.

Effect-Line cabinets are not simply aquarium stands; they are attractive pieces of furniture of the highest quality. The cabinets are equipped with shelves, adjustable legs and a selection of doors or draws depending on the size of the aquarium. The doors and draws are available in a number of colours as well as an exclusive model clad with natural coloured anodised aluminium.
