Training Components

At Superdog we cover all socialisation, obedience and behavioural needs.

Socialisation

You need to ensure that your puppy / dog has appropriate social skills towards people and other animals. We can assist you with this as well as train your dog appropriate behaviour towards inanimate objects such as bikes, cars, lawnmowers etc.

General obedience skills covered

• Loose Lead walking - teaching your dog manners on lead while not pulling
• Sit (stay) - to sit on command
• Drop (stay) - to drop on command
• Stand - to stand on command
• Recall - teaching your dog to come to you when called, be it in the home or off lead in the park
• Heel - teaching your dog to walk by your side
• Return to Heel- teaching your dog to recall back to your side
• After the initial learning of the above skills, we encourage further development of strong eye focus and achieving these commands in the presence of distractions.

Advanced skills

We can teach you and your dog some helpful and fun skills such as:

• Eating only on command
• Closing drawers and cupboard doors
• Retrieving car keys or wallet
• Collecting the newspaper
