Process

Natural Pet Treats Australia’s dehydration process uses refrigeration to extract moisture from the product. This process continues until the desired moisture content is attained. As the process is low temperature and low humidity the product maintains its colour and aroma.

The dehydration process enables a wide range of products such as meat, fish, fruit and vegetables to be produced without the use of artificial colourings, preservatives or additives whatsoever. Technology used in the system ensures product colour and flavour is maintained and enjoys a shelf life of up to two years. Products generally lose approximately 80% of the original weight and can be stored and freighted without refrigeration, allowing an enormous advantage over fresh products.

The dry product maintains the same enzyme and nutritional value as fresh product.

• Senior management is aware of best practice and our responsibility towards environmental issues, and employee welfare, and ensure due consideration is applied when reviewing and determining current and future policy direction.
