Training Programs

We train all breeds of dogs and specialise in problem dogs. At Homestead Kennels, we adopt a professional approach to training and offer properly structured training packages to meet the requirements of most owners.

 

The excellent environment available at our award winning kennels enables us to carry out all training at the kennels, whereas other establishments may train in paddocks, parks and factories.

 

We are members of the Australian Association of Professional Dog Trainers, National Dog Training Federation and we are recognized by Victorian State Government.

 

Boarding and Training

 

Live in training is available for the dog whose owner does not have the time, ability or inclination to train their dog. Basic Obedience Course is usually three weeks. Some difficult breeds or dogs with serious problems may take longer.

 

Shorter courses of one to two weeks are also available.

 

Classes

 

These classes are for the owner who wishes to train with their dog. The standard course is eight weeks and each lesson is forty five minutes long.

 

Casual Classes

 

These are available for the dog who has completed the Basic Obedience Course. This is for the owner who wishes to keep up the dog training as required.

 

Advanced Classes

 

Off lead and agility training is also available. Lots of fun!

 

Competition Training

 

This training is for the serious owner wanting to train their dog to the highest levels.

 

Problem Solving

 

Our experienced trainers can help you with difficult dogs.

 

Private Lessons

 

For the person who requires the undivided attention of a trainer (very suitable for problem solving).

 

Puppy Kindergarten

 

For puppies older than 10 weeks.
