Coburg Aquarium is a licensed fish importer.

• Extensive Range

Coburg Aquarium's range of fish is like nothing you have ever seen. Coburg Aquarium's fish room alone is over 500 sqm. Coburg Aquarium has one of the largest ranges of fish available in Australia. We also have an extensive range of corals, plants, rock and driftwood.

Our fish come from all over the world including Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Africa, South America and China. Coburg Aquarium stocks fish that is cleared by AQIS, the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service.

Coburg Aquarium is well known for its extensive range of fish.

• Quarantine

With over 30 years of experience in fish keeping, in breeding and importing fish, Coburg Aquarium's staff are equipped with the knowledge to advise you with the right fish for the right tank set up. Coburg Aquarium also makes a conscious effort to source quality suppliers. Our experienced staff are ready to help you at any time, they are just a phone or email away.

 

Reptiles

• Our Experience

Our staff have over 6 years of experience in reptile keeping. Most of our staff keep their own reptiles and are ready to answer any of your questions. You are always able to contact us.

Ian Kirby is the manager of the Coburg Aquarium reptile room. He has been caring and looking after reptiles for over 6 years and is a keen believer in the protection and conservation of reptiles.

• Extensive Range

Coburg Aquariums reptile room is a new addition to the store. Coburg Aquarium sells a comprehensive range of livestock, food, accessories, health-care products and enclosures. Coburg Aquarium is confident that it has all your reptile needs all in the one, ‘one stop shop.’

• Licenses and Regulations

Some reptiles require you to have licenses for you to be able to keep them. This can be obtained from the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

 

Plants

• Our Experience

Different fish need different plants to complete their eco system. The Coburg Aquarium staff are available to help you select the right plants for the right fish, tank size, the best plant support products and the best horticultural advice. Coburg Aquarium is able to sell Australian live plants at fantastic prices.

• Benefits of Having Plants in your Aquarium
  • Plants can be used in your aquarium for they are good for the bio diversity for your tank, they help stabilize the water quality and they look good.
  • Plants are able to absorb nitrate and remove waste from the aquarium. Plants also eradicate the nutrients that algae thrive on, leaving your tank cleaner and healthier.
  • Plants are also a good source of food for your fish, creating a beautiful environment for them to live and thrive in.

 

Corals

Coburg aquarium carries an extensive range of corals. Coburg Aquarium sells over 100 types of coral varieties that are sourced Australia wide. The appearance of coral’s vary in colour and size depending on their marine environment.

• Corals and Your Aquarium

Coral’s help the ecological system of your marine aquarium and are known to be important contributors to these systems.

In coral’s natural environment they are exposed to the natural light of the sun. Natural sunlight provides coral with the correct amount of light needed to survive.

Landscapping

Coburg Aquarium’s driftwood is top of the line imported driftwood. Coburg Aquarium carries an extensive variety of sizes up to 1.8m in thousands of unique and different styles.
Coburg Aquariums also imports their own wood from all around the world and Australia. Coburg Aquarium has the best quality and range available any where in Australia.

• Aquascaping and Landscaping

Driftwood is used for aquascaping and internal tank design of any aquarium. It creates a natural style to any aquarium that can not be mimicked by any other man made ornamental decoration.

Driftwood is completely safe for your aquarium. It leaves a natural yellow coloration from the tannin released from the wood, that conveys a more authentic environment.
