Fum Tube - Small (150mm diameter)

Consisting of a ball to which particals of food can be added, mounted on a hollow tube. When the ball is moved to the lower end of the tube the food is dispensed from the hole in the end of the tube. Suitable for Great Apes to the smallest Marmosets, also suitable for Sun Bears, Asian Bears and European Bears. 150mm diameter ball mounted on 200mm tube. Available in Green. Product History: The FUM Tube was designed with the ideas and assistance of Fleur and Ulli of the Primate dept of Melbourne Zoo and Margaret Hawkins of Taronga Zoo in Sydney. These people showed me the feeder pipes that are used by various departments as an enrichment device for all manner of animals. The request was for a stronger tube in a range of sizes - the resulting assembly fulfils the above requirements and by adding the ball gives another dimension of enrichment as the animal has to manipulate the device to gain a reward. Instructions for use: Remove shackle slide the first hole in the ball off the tube.
