D & S Aviary Services is a full time aviary & cage building business supplying both commercial & private breeders & pet product stores.

D & S Aviaries is owned by Dave Hackney, a qualified boiler maker with 35 years experience in the trade, working on large construction & mining projects as well as design & fabrication in steel fabricated products, so this knowledge is helpful in the design of the structural side of this aviary business.

Materials used are all Australian made products where available, BHP Waratah Wire, 25 X 25 X 1.6 Gal, 25 X 25 X 2.5 or 3m Mesh, BHP Colour bond Steel.

Here at D & S Aviaries, we strive to supply a quality product at a reasonable price. Freight is available to most areas, where practical. Most types of cages are available in kit form (flat pack) for ease of transport.

Complex/Flight Aviaries

Conventional Aviary

These cages require some form of base to sit the cage on. Sizes vary from 1800 X 900 X 1800 to 3000 X 2400 X 2100 high in single type set ups, or we can make to size to suit your situation. Multi-cage complexes with safety walkways can be made to suit your requirements. These cages can be supplied in dome, peak or flat roof.

Suspended Aviary

Suspended aviaries are a very popular type of cage. As they are cost effective to build compared to the standard walk-in aviary. All cages have double wire petitions. Solid petitions available upon request. Full roof or part wire supplied. Suitable for birds from Finches to Macaws.

These are a very popular cage for a couple of chooks in the backyard with the advantage of being able to wheel the cage around the yard to weed those problem areas. Styles of cages available are dome, peak roof and rectangular.
