The Bounding Hound specialises in training dogs and assisting their owners get the most from them. We focus on improving your pet's behaviour through basic dog training and fun activities. There is a strong focus on teaching owners about normal canine behaviour and how to modify it. We can also assist you in eliminating problem behaviours if they develop.

Private sessions are held at a time and place convenient to you while our training classes are held on Saturday afternoons at Pullenvale. These include a fun mix of obedience, agility and trick training and teach you, how to teach your dog!
Please note our private training and behavioural sessions are about providing regular and affordable ongoing assistance and guidance to help you with your dog. Unlike some behaviourists and trainers we do not develop extensive programs which you have to work through at home primarily on you own unaided, and which can be quite daunting. You will have an easy to follow program and someone there to help you with it regularly.
Bookings essential. Children 10 and over welcome in classes (depending on suitability of dog).

Services Offered:Dog training and obedience
Dog Training Classes Weekly Saturday Afternoon Training Classes Covers basic training including; obedience, agility, fun activities, socialisation, developing good manners, and some trick training. Classes aim to teach owners about dog behaviour and how dogs 'think' and learn.
Private Training Classes Private dog training sessions with trainer Shan and you and your dog. These sessions are great if you cannot attend a regular class, have a difficult dog that needs more focused training sessions or if you'd just like to get your dog trained quickly.
Dog and Trainer Only Sessions These sessions are our specialty and Shan trains your dog for you. We will call in and collect your dog and train him for you depending on his needs and your requirements. These sessions are not only physical exercise for your dog but also mental activity.

Behavioural Consultations If you are having a specific behavioural problem including fear based and/or aggressive issues, barking, roaming, inappropriate elimination or other unwanted behaviours we can help you work through these issues using behavioural modification techniques and training.
Pet suitability consultations If you would like assistance choosing the right dog or puppy for you and your family or if you need more information on bringing home a new dog or puppy these sessions are for you.
