Jabiru was established in the late 1800’s on much larger acreage than remains today, and soon became a successful dairy and grazing operation.

The Jabiru, Australia’s only stork, after which the property was named, is still a regular visitor today.

Since 1979, Jabiru was owned by Richard Kamphenkel. Half the property is used for horse and cattle grazing, while the other half remains in its natural bush state, providing a safe haven for the local wild life.

Jabiru is a 530 acre working horse and cattle property located 20 km north of Noosa Heads, minutes to the shores of Lake Cootharaba and the township of Boreen Point, the Noosa Trail Network and opposite the Kabi Golf Course.

Jabiru Bush Camp offers a host of different activities including farm stays and bush getaways; Australiana campfire entertainment plus dinners; movie nights and foreign language films; Noosa Hinterland horse market; full moon trail rides; herd re-socialisation and trust building; agistment and horse spelling; trail riding, mustering and competitions; personal development seminars; stress and fear management courses and autogenics training relaxation therapy.
