Obedience Classes

We conduct 10 week obedience courses for dogs from the age of 6 months right through to old age. Contrary to popular belief, an old dog can be taught new tricks given the right motivation. We offer 5, 10 week courses which when completed entitle the client to life membership status.

Puppy Kinder Class

The purpose of this course is to ensure that the pups are well socialized and that the handler is provided with the basic concepts and knowledge required, when dealing with puppy related behavioural issues. Basic commands including "come", "sit", "drop" and "stay" are covered. 

Advanced Puppy Class

This 6 week course covers; socialisation, "come", "sit stays", "drop stays", "basic heeling" and puppy agility. We would expect the pups to be 14-20 weeks of age to be suitable for this course; however exceptions can be made to accommodate particular circumstances.

Juvenile Basic

This 10 week basic obedience course initiates the handler and dog into the area of obedience. This level covers basic heeling patterns, extended recalls, and both sit  and drop stays. At the conclusion of each class we run the dogs over play agility to give them confidence, fun and to teach you control. In effect, teaching you how to get your dog back to you when it is in an environment surrounded by other dogs and people. In other words, the offleash areas of parks.

  • We offer in home training to address any behavioural issues that your dog might be displaying such as:
    • Anti-social behaviour
    • Digging
    • Barking
    • Chewing
    • Aggression
    • Separation anxiety
    • Lack of manners
  • By coming to you we can assess your dog in its home environment and determine the best strategy and training program for you to achieve the results that you want.
• One-on-one Obedience training
  • We can arrange a suitable time to come and give you and your dog personal obedience lessons. We can alter the time of each appointment to suit your schedule thus giving you much needed flexibility to fit quality training time in with your “best friend.”
