Böckmann Australia is probably the largest manufacturers of horse floats in the world. In their modern factory they produce between 5000 and 6000 floats per year. That’s around 100 each week!
The Böckmann family (who own and run the company) have had a total involvement with horses all their lives. Although now managed by his sons, Anton Böckmann still takes an active interest in the business. Two of the sons, Klaus and Roger, run the manufacturing business. Both are university trained engineers. But both still ride whenever possible.
Toenne manages the stud farm with anything up to 30 stallions including such famous names as De Niro, Fidertanz, Danone, Cannavaro, Lord Pezi, Quattro, etc. Gilbert is a professional showjumper who has many times represented Germany and who currently is the Australian national showjumping coach.
The first horse float was built solely to transport the family horses to shows and competitions. Over the next 50 years many innovative design features were incorporated. Safety and comfort for the horse and for the person using the floats were always the first consideration. That, together with the best of precision German engineering, made Böckmann the market leader in Europe.

Services Offered:Böckmann offers a very broad range of floats ranging from the old type marine ply float to aluminium and polyester. One of the features that is more appreciated is the very noticeable savings in fuel. We have also added sliding side windows for even better ventilation and we have added the new dual rear curtain as a standard feature. This allows you to pull down either the weatherproof or the shade mesh curtain which is spring loaded and will retract when released.

Top Master Deluxe The glamorous brother to the Big Master. Same dimensions but with the big, swoopy mudguars, fully hydraulic braking system, and a handy overhead cupboard inside, between the two front windows. Payment Methods Accepted:

Products OfferedOur Range If you look closely you will notice that it has a little bit of a ‘sharper’ nose. That certainly is a further help in reducing drag. A sealed saddle compartment with brackets for two saddles, bridle hooks, storage shelf and net, a mirror and cleaning tools is standard.
Big Master L The big brother to the Master. This one is extra wide and comes with a huge saddle compartment, aluminium floor, Sliding side windows, removable feed bins, and lots of other useful features.
Master New body shape only available with WCF suspension, old body shape still available. This one has a perfectly rounded front to provide even more space in front of the chest bar. This is a different shape altogether with a flatter front and a front window. The access door is very high and instead of a retractable curtain at the back it has a solid, lift up cover. This is fitted with gas struts and can be left up during travel.
